Gotye "Somebody that I used to know": testo e video

Negli ultimi tempi su RTL sta girando un brano che mi ha conquistata completamente.

Il titolo è Somebody that I used to know e l'artista è Gotye.

Ad un primo ascolto, pensavo che fosse una nuova canzone di Sting: la voce di Gotye me lo ricorda tanto.

Poi ho scoperto che si trattava di un nuovo artista, belga, ma vissuto per gran parte della sua vita in Australia.

Adesso sta conquistando l'Italia e non solo, dopo aver ricevuto una nomination come miglior artista per l'Asia e il Pacifico agli MTV Europe Music Awards.

In questo brano duetta con la cantante neozelandese Kimbra: il tema è quello di un amore finito, dei ricordi di quando era amore e tutto sembrava così bello e della realtà triste di adesso in cui per lei lui è solo uno che conosceva (somebody that I used to know).

Questo brano è in tutto e per tutto originale e piacevole: nella musica, nella melodia e anche nel video in cui i due cantanti sono completamente nudi, ricoperti solo da pittura che li confonde con lo sfondo dietro di loro.
